Our white paper looks more closely at the challenges in making the ecological transition within flight operations:
·     It starts by summarizing the methods for assessing the climate impact of aviation that has been developed by the scientific community and that are now widely recognized. It also shows how the understanding of this impact itself is improving 
·     Using these methods and state-of-the-art flight optimization research, it assesses the order of magnitude of the potential for eco-friendly flight operations to reduce the climate impact of air transport
·     It then identifies the challenges that air transport will have to face to deploy these eco-friendly operations 
·     Finally, it introduces three proposals that will enable all air transport stakeholders to engage and make these reductions as quickly as possible.
